Taking pictures is something I love to do. It's something that gives me meaning and pride and excitement outside of being a mom, a wife, a homemaker. It is something that is just for me. It gives me the creative outlet that I was always looking for but could never seem to find until I started taking pictures of my first baby boy. I don't take pictures to make lots of money, I don't take pictures to try and be someone that I am not. I just love to learn, stretch myself, and take myself out of my comfort zone. My pictures aren't perfect, they don't always follow all the rules, I am still learning. When I stop learning I will stop taking pictures, because that would mean my passion for it is gone. I am still stretching myself to see things differently, training my eyes to see light and darkness, different angles and the in's and outs of my equipment, trying to think outside of the box a little. I am being me and I love to share 'me' with others. That is why I call myself a photographer.
I love lifestyle photography, it's a lot different than studio photography. I love them both, but in different ways.
Here are a few lifestyle maternity photo's I took for my sister-in-law and brother. They are expecting a second little girl in April. I love my nieces and am looking forward to meeting my newest one "Molly" in a few short months.
My sister is rocking the pregnancy look! Thanks Stephanie and Phil for letting me capture this exciting time for you. Love you guys!
