I can't believe it's already time to start thinking about back to school. This summer just flew by. Maybe its because we have been able to spend so much time at the beach this year now that we live so close or because we have just stayed so busy. Either way, it's time to start preparing my kids for starting back to school, early bedtimes and routines are beginning and the carefree summer days are slowly coming to an end. This year I am not only sending Josiah to school, but Luca is starting to junior kindergarten. Its hard to believe that my little three year old will be heading off to big boy school. I thought it would be easier this time around since I have already done this before, but it turns out its just as hard. The other day I had a moment where I pictured all my boys grown up, heading off into the big world by themselves without me and it made me think about how fast time is going. I need to enjoy the moments I have with them now before I can no longer get them back.
Luca is so excited to be starting big boy school in the Fall. He has been asking since last year when he can go to school with Josiah. He seems so little, but I know he is ready, even more ready than Josiah was. Perhaps its his personality (he is very social) or that having an older brother has prepared him. Whatever the reason I know he will love school and do great!
I wanted to do a back to school styled shoot (my first styled shoot) that shows their personalities and their curiosity for learning new things. To be honest I really am not a fan of the typical '90's school pictures that are taken at school each year. Its the same picture every year and doesn't show their personalities and who they really are. So I am so excited to share these with you. I feel like these are pictures I can hang on my wall and be proud of, rather than the same school picture every year.
I love these pictures of my school boys.
If anyone is tired of buying the same '90's school pictures every year, I am willing to offer this styled shoot as a mini session for your elementary school aged children. Shoot me an email or a facebook message and if there is enough interest I can set up dates and times.
Enjoy the rest of your summer with your kids before they return to school soon.
